Woah.. an external walkie talkie microphone for the i580.

Yes, it’s true. An external, walkie-talkie style microphone for the Motorola i580.
You can use this microphone (NSN6066) with the i580 phone, or any of the Moto Talk
compatible Nextel phones.  Get these phones and microphones while you can.
When people realize that the Nextel phone shoved in the closet all these years
works as a local walkie talkie with amazing distance, I can bet that it will
be difficult to acquire them.

MotoTalk (Direct Talk)

|

I am sure almost everyone is familiar with Nextel and Boost Mobile PTT ( push to talk), national walkie talkie service.

But, did you know that there are a hand full of these phones that have a very unique feature built into them

called Moto Talk ?  This is a model specific feature that allows you to use the phone as a short range walkie talkie,

without a service plan.

The Motorola phones that have Moto Talk (also referred to as Direct Talk), here listed below.

MOTO Talk is available on these Motorola iDEN models:

  • i680
  • ic902
  • i880
  • i870
  • i850
  • i760
  • i670
  • i580
  • i560
  • ic502
  • ic402
  • i315
  • i355
  • i325is
  • i275
  • i9
  • M710
  • i425
  • i576
  • r765 / r765is

So, if you have one of these phones somewhere in your home, office, or car, as long as the

SIM card is still in tact, you can get the phone to go into Direct Talk (Moto Talk) mode.

People have claimed to have gotten a range of up to 5 miles. (conditions do apply I am sure).

This is worth looking into for perhaps work groups, and/or social activities.

Turn your iPhone or ipod Touch into a boombox !

|

This is going to be really short, because by now, those of you that know me,

have a lot of trust in my technology opinions.

If you want to carry your iPod Touch or iPhone around as a jukebox

to share the music with others, but do not want to spend the big money,

and are really concerned with how cheesy low-end systems can be,

I suggest the iMainGo 2.  At $40, this is your best friend and people

will be really impressed by the sound that comes out of it.

Sold at Target Stores.

My conclusion : buy this, and thank me later :)

A $70,000 adult toy worth paying for.

It’s called the Seabreacher X.  At about $68,000 dollars USD, you get to splash
and navigate around a lake or an ocean, inside of a mechanical shark.

I mean,.. if you already have it all, this would be the perfect add on toy.

Motorola i580

Equip your mobile work force with this rugged flip phone, which meets U.S. 810F Military Specifications for blowing rain, high and low temperatures, humidity, dust, shock, solar radiation, low pressure, vibration, salt and fog. MOTOtalk™ lets your team use their devices as short-range, two-way radios, while Bluetooth® wireless technology allows hands-free capability. Advanced media capabilities allow the i580 to record video, play MP3s, take photos, and save images and audio files, while a rubber coated and sealed memory slot cover helps ensure that data stays safe from the elements.

Oh, did I mention that this phone works on the $1.00 per day boost mobile, walkie-talkie network?   Sometimes dated technology is the best technology, and if its good enough for the Defense Department, then it’s good enough for me.
